Funding for domestic and community based renewable energy systems is now available through the Low Carbon Buildings Programme.

Green Generation are able to offer full assistance in all aspects of grant and planning applications. However there are some criteria that you must fulfill before a grant application will be considered.

a. A minimum of 270mm of loft insulation
b. Installed cavity wall insulation (if you have cavity walls)
c. Using low energy light bulbs in all appropriate light fittings
d. Installed basic controls for your heating system to include a room thermostat and a programmer or timer.

The basic procedure is as follows:

Application is made on-line. A written quotation from Green-Generation is required. A decision is received via email in approximately 30 minutes.

The customer then has 4-6 months to complete the installation depending on type.

When notified of a completed project, and proof of full payment having been made to Green Generation is obtained,  the Low Carbon Building programme will remit a cheque to the customer within 15 working days.

Grants are £1000 per KW to a maximum of £2500.

Commercial and school grants are also available. Applications for these vary upon the type of grant. Green Generation can explain the options.
