Important Announcement

From 1st April 2010 renewable energy projects installed after July 15th 2009 will attract a special feed-in tariff, similar to that successfully used in Europe.



Key elements of the announcement made by HM Government include

Launch date 1st April 2010

Producers will be paid even if the electricity is used on site

An additional payment will be made for any excess energy exported
to the grid (approx 5p/kwh)

Owners of off-grid systems will also qualify (tariffs to be announced)
